Youth Work Learning Center
The Youth Work Learning Center was created as a partnership with the Wacycp so that local professionals would have University-based education and training opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills. Today, the Center offers dozens of 3-hour workshops per semester on a wide variety of topics as well as continuing education certificate programs that satisfy state regulations for youth worker training and Wacycp certification. Online credit and continuing education courses, a concentration in Youth Work Master’s degree program, and an undergraduate Youth Work Credit Certificate is also offered, together serving hundreds of youth work students every year in thousands of hours of classes.
The Association for Child and Youth Care Practice, Inc
In addition, we partner with our parent group, the Association for Child and Youth Care Practice, and the manifestation of one of its most significant projects to create a comprehensive competency document, the Child and Youth Care Certification Board, which manages the national Child and Youth Care Credential.
